Blood Rush, Tempest oceans
Making room for improvisation and exploring the beauty and fragility of musical coincidences, the musical expression on “Blood Rush, Tempest Oceans” is delicate, frail, gentle and yet profound (perhaps revitalizing the expression “quiet is the new loud”). A heartwarming – equally sad and uplifting – piece of music, knowing grief but promising hope, we believe this work to be an understated but deep and graceful musical experience.
Listen to the music
The album deals with a difficult period of life marked by PTSD – the diagnosis, the acceptance and the following treatment – and the simultaneous revitalization and awakening of a broken heart. There’s a weightless almost immaterial pastoral quality to the songs, a soft, kind embrace. It’s about patience, peace, and healing. A truly empathetic project, we’re proud to release “Blood Rush, Tempest Oceans” on Pink Cotton Candy Records.
LYRICS
BREAKING EYES & ACHING SMILES
The birds sings to the cold sun
Dressed in black
Praying for
The spring
To carry hope
For me
And
For you
Breaking eyes
Aching smiles
We part
For a better place
To rest our cries
I woke up
Where I left myself
Yesterday
Believing I
Would wake in tears and laughter
With you
With you
With you
Breaking eyes
And aching smiles
We part
For a better place
To rest our cries

BLUE VEIL
In the deep blue
Veil of our night
I see your heart shine
From the life within your shrine
And my center shivers
As our breath becomes the forgiver
And I call upon your name
And I watch your towering flame
Passing on, passing on
The sky is so big
Oh my love,
And true spirits fly
Do you think they love themselves just like we love each other
Now your time has come
To travel on
The flowers blooms
as a new life has begun
And the loving figures
Dances and lingers
And I listen to your laughter
And I believe in your morning after
Passing on, passing on
The sky is so big
Oh my love,
And true spirits fly
Do you think they love themselves just like
we love each other
The sky is so big
Oh my love,
And true spirits fly
Do you think they love themselves just like
we love each other
YOUR FIRE MUST DANCE AGAIN
My hands awoke by the window
I had a vision
You stood by my side
All pale – dressed in the light
We watched our hearts hung upon the golden wire
And your so name was sung
By the nightingale choir
I cried
My friend,
My sister,
My lover.
When will i see you again
In the gloom of confusion
In the fume of disillusion
I sing to our past
The one i thought would ever last
I have brung a spell upon myself
Born and bound
Bound by the lake
All stale – in the skin that I found
I watched your fire dance and slowly suffocate
And so your name was sung
By the nightingale choir
I apologize
My friend,
My sister,
My lover.
Your fire must dance again
Your fire must dance again
Your fire must dance again

MOTHER
The waves that breaks
on the stones of the shores
Whispers the stories
of reflection and truth
and I here I stand on the edge
humming
this song as my pledge
the blinded swans
behind the bleeding sun
calling the calls of a seeking son
and heroins are dancing
and I wish that I could reach
and I wish that I could reach them
I look into
my mother’s eyes
I must remember to pray
A vision of divinity
for the life she so lovingly gave me
a vision of divinity
for the life she so lovingly gave me
IN ALL MY SENSELESSNESS
When I look into the eyes
of the child
I once was
I can feel the fear
in the breath
that keeps me from dying
And if you think this seems senseless
you should see the reality
that I live in
oh my god
I guess that, I
I guess that, I
I guess that I have to kill the child
I guess I have to kill the child
if you think this seems senseless
you should see the reality
that live in
oh my god
that I live in
oh my god

ITS GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN
I was sitting with my eyes closed
and there you were
Friday’s child
singing for me
a song of love and redemption
I have missed you
it’s good to see you again
The year has born itself again
and here I am
crying in relief and laughter
for all the love that sorrounds me
I have missed you
it’s good to see you again
BLOOD RUSH, TEMPEST OCEAN’S
Blood rush and tempest oceans,
I stand not on peaking waves
Nor do I stand in deepest graves
I lay my eyes in your hands
I lay my ears in your heart
My life becomes you
As i greet my farewell
In the breath between sea and sky
I rest on the shore
once touched by you and I
The leaves
has left their branches
And the snow has born
deafening avalanches
And here my eyes only see your kindness
Long lost and forgotten times
Whispers the chorus of a brand new life
I stand tall
I stand for all
I will carry the broken thyme
And i will drink in your sour wine
I will greet myself
