Nikolaj is 29 years old and grew up in the third largest city in Denmark, Odense (on the Island of Funen), where he participated in the vibrant local music scene (among other acts such as Tettix Hexer, The Love Coffin, Scared Crow, etc). He has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy (specialized in aesthetics, philosophy of music and popular music studies), and a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. Today, he is the songwriter, leadsinger and guitarist in candy-act Quiet Sonia.

I’m an avid listener of rock/pop/folk niche subgenres such as slowcore, dreampop, post-rock, shoegaze, twee, jangle, math-rock, power pop, synthpop, alternative country, neo-folk, noise-rock, punk, disco, no-wave, all various kinds of post-punk and indierock. I also love lots and lots of hiphop, electronic music, metal, jazz, classical and non-western music.

My top ten albums of all time would perhaps go something like this:

Brian Raaby

  • PR
  • MARKETING
  • VISUAL PRODUCTION
  • ART DIRECTOR
  • SO-ME

Brian is 33 years old and grew up in a small town east of Odense, where he quickly turned his face towards the vibrant underground music environment of Odense. He started photographing underground concerts and events, before finally moving to Copenhagen in the autumn of 2011. He’s a Master of Arts in Film and Media Studies, and creates musicvideos and all things film and video in his professional life. Today he creates music under the name of Grand Duchess, and works professionally with visual production.

I´m an avid listener of Shoegaze, dream pop, slowcore, post-rock, alternative country, folk & new-gaze. I am also a big fan of electronic music, and have a passion for experimentation with noise and environmental soundscapes

My top 10 albums could be these:

 Rasmus Jon

  • A&R ASSISTANT
  • PRODUCER
  • EVENT-MAKER
  • LEGAL & FINANCE MANAGER

Rasmus is 29 years old and grew up by the western countryside of Jutland. As a 13-year-old he moved to Odense, where he’d study, and work with, film and screenwriting. He would go on to co-found and administrate two different music unions with the purpose of creating concerts and festivals needed to fuel the cultural potential of the local underground music. As a musician himself studying musicology, he’s become a self-taught producer and composer with a deep love for everything ‘musicking’.

I love music that dares to be imaginative; create and breathe within its own realm. I have a deep love for Post-rock, Avantgarde, Minimalist, Instrumental, and classical music. Especially the obscure, paradoxical, ephemeral, ambivalent, escapist, and in some cases, almost bland or broken: That which might sound just a little bit “off”, might just open up new pathways of thought and reflection.

My top 10 albums might be something like this:

 Thea Magnussen

Thea is 26 years old and grew up close to Odense with her brother and sister.
