PCC hereby proudly presents the debut album “The Wonderful and Wicked World of Chopper”, damaged pop tunes and other fabulous failures from various bedrooms. Chopper started out as an attempt to avoid “proper” and “sophisticated” songwriting by using only a cheap old Casio keyboard, some barely functional guitars, and whatever sounds you could pour out of your mouth. All this to make music fast and bad, escape perfection and ideals, and just hope for some kind of interesting result. Luckily, all the cheap trashy synthetic sounds somehow managed to come together, and create a peculiar but beautiful musical space: Sweet and sour, sexy and sad, cruel, gentle, wicked and bad.

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Chopper is a dark, danceable and playful one-man project by Jonatan K. Magnussen (The Love Coffin), a dirty little secret feeding on anything from eurodance to glam rock, disco and techno, to harsh industrial and 80’s billboard pop. Pop melodies on cheap keyboards, howling glam rock guitars, plastic horn sections, repetitive dancebeats and distorted vocals, all swirling around in a mysterious and haunting universe. With a love for 70’s horror flicks and flamboyant pop/rock music in all its shapes and forms, Chopper lives well and free in a strange but captivating world.
